A very rare and local species in Belgium, the species was no longer observed around 1920.
It has declined throughout Western Europe.
Native
The adults are on the wing from late April towards August in two generations a year.
The larva lives mainly on Mentha and Origanum.
It inhabits chalk and limestone soils and sand-dunes.
