Hipparchia fagi (Scopoli, 1763) Species

Last modified: Sept. 13, 2023, 8:21 p.m.

Recent research (2022) on this species indicates that its occurrence in Belgium is dubious; no concrete evidence of any sightings, there would be 2 ex. have been collected, but unfortunately this trail has come to a dead end for the time being. At that time in Rhineland-Palatinate and Luxembourg, sightings of H. fagi all turned out to be H. alcyone.
